Major changes are underway for NEET, JEE, and CUET. While preparations are underway to revise the pattern of all three entrance exams, several rules are also being amended for the convenience of candidates. In this regard, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is considering a major change. According to reports, under this change, candidates will no longer be able to choose their exam center city for NEET, CUET, and JEE. Under this change, candidates will be allocated exam center cities based on their Aadhaar card address.

Let's explore the current exam city selection process for NEET, JEE, and CUET. We'll also discuss the proposed changes.

Until now, the option to select an exam city has been available.
Under the current system, candidates were given the option to select an exam city during registration for NEET, CUET, and JEE. Under this system, candidates were required to select four exam cities, each with their own preferences. Candidates were allotted exam cities accordingly.

NTA has been asked to correct its Aadhaar cards.
According to reports, under the new system, exam cities will be allocated to NEET, CUET, and JEE candidates based on the address on their Aadhaar cards. The NTA will allocate exam cities near their homes. Although the NTA has not yet issued an official notice regarding this, it recently issued instructions regarding Aadhaar card correction for the JEE Main January session. This instruction is being seen as a change.

JEE Main Changes May Be Revealed Starting January
According to reports, this proposed change by the NTA may be implemented starting with JEE Session 1, scheduled for January. The NTA is preparing for this. In fact, the JEE Main is conducted twice a year. Only candidates who qualify for the Main exam can appear for the Advanced exam.
