Even if you fail the 10th and 12th board exams, your year won't be ruined. NIOS friends will be helpful, allowing students to take exams on demand..
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Uttar Pradesh Board, the Rajasthan Board, and other state education boards are currently conducting 10th and 12th board exams. Over 40 million students across the country are appearing for the 10th and 12th board exams. This trend is consistent every year. Over 40 million students appear for the 10th and 12th board exams each year. Many of these students fail, wasting a year. This leads to many students dropping out. The Union Ministry of Education is taking this issue seriously. Now, students who fail board exams will no longer have their year wasted. NIOS Mitra will assist such students, and those who fail will be allowed to appear for board exams on demand.
Let's explore the entire matter. Let's explore the steps being taken by the Union Ministry of Education. For example, let's explore what NIOS Mitra is. How can students who fail board exams take on-demand exams to save their year?
5 million students fail every year
According to an estimate, over 40 million students appear for the 10th and 12th board exams conducted by the CBSE and state education boards. It is estimated that approximately 5 million students fail the 10th and 12th board exams. Many of these students drop out.
NIOS Mitra will help students who fail the board exams.
The Union Ministry of Education is very concerned about students who drop out of school after failing the 10th and 12th board exams. To address this, the Ministry of Education has developed a special plan, the responsibility of which has been assigned to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Under this plan, NIOS Mitrs will be created, who will contact students who fail the 10th and 12th board exams conducted by education boards across the country. NIOS Mitr will also contact students who have dropped out of school due to failure.
Enrollment in NIOS will be provided, and on-demand exam opportunities will be available.
NIOS Mitr will work to provide immediate relief to students who fail in the 10th and 12th board exams. They will enroll failed students in NIOS. If failed students wish to have their exams conducted immediately, they can opt for on-demand exams.
The campaign will begin after the results are released.
NIOS is working on a plan to implement this initiative in a phased manner. The first phase will begin after the results of the upcoming board exams are declared. After the results are released, special attention will be given to students who have failed or dropped out.
Marks in passed subjects can be transferred.
NIOS also offers students the option to take exams only in the subjects they failed. Let's understand this with an example. If a UP 12th Board student fails three out of six subjects and passes three, they can transfer their passing marks in up to two subjects to NIOS. They can also correct their result by taking an on-demand exam in one passed subject along with the three failed subjects. Students can also take additional subjects as needed.
