DUSU Election 2026: The Delhi University administration has adopted a strict stance regarding campus security arrangements ahead of the DUSU Election 2026 voting. Following reports of rule violations concerning vehicle usage and illegal parking in North Campus on the final day of campaigning, special preparations have been made for the day of the election. The university administration has clarified that maintaining peace and security on campus during polling is the top priority. A separate advisory regarding vehicle movement on September 18 and 19 has also been issued by the university.
Strict measures will also be enforced regarding entry into colleges and polling stations on the day of voting. Students will not be allowed entry without a valid student ID card. Security checks will be conducted at the gates to prevent the entry of outsiders. Polling for the DUSU Election 2026-27 is scheduled for September 18, 2026, while the vote counting and declaration of results will take place on September 19, 2026. Delhi University has published election-related notifications and advisories on its website, including directives restricting vehicle movement on September 18 and 19. Elections are being held for four central posts this time. According to the final list, there are 7 candidates in the fray for the post of President and 5 for the post of Vice-President. Candidates are contesting for a total of four posts—President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary. With the election campaign now concluded, the entire focus has shifted to conducting the voting process in an orderly manner. Questions Raised Regarding Rules on Final Day of Campaigning

The administration has established clear rules regarding entry on the day of voting. Only students possessing genuine and valid college student ID cards will be permitted to enter the polling stations and their respective college premises. Identity checks will be conducted at the gates. The objective of this measure is to ensure that only authorized voters and essential personnel access the polling stations. Institutions affiliated with the university have also issued notices regarding voting eligibility for September 17.
