This year, students witnessed tremendous enthusiasm for the scheme, with 2,280 students shortlisted from over 3,500 applications.

Prof. Ranjan Kumar Tripathi, Dean of Students' Welfare, informed that group discussions were held for the shortlisted students from October 13-15, 2025, and have now successfully concluded. The final list of selected candidates will be released soon after the selection process is complete.

Appointments in Over 25 Offices
Selected interns will be posted in over 55 different offices of Delhi University, providing them with an opportunity to gain practical experience in the administrative and academic functions of the university system. It is worth noting that Delhi University launched VCIS from the 2022-23 academic session. The objective of this scheme is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on experience of the university system and government functioning.

VCIS, under the DSW office, has two categories:

Part-time internship (during the academic session, 6 months) – 8-10 hours of work per week, stipend ₹5,775 per month.
Full-time summer internship (2 months) – 20 hours of work per week, stipend ₹11,000 per month.

According to the university administration, this initiative will not only provide students with practical experience but also give them a deeper understanding of leadership, communication skills, and organizational functioning.
