DU UG Program: Major Relief for Fourth-Year Undergraduate Students at DU—Mandatory Submission of Viva Videos Lifted..
DU: The University of Delhi has provided significant relief to students enrolled in four-year undergraduate courses for the academic session 2026-27. DU has removed the mandatory requirement to submit a 30-minute video of the *viva-voce* examination for the academic track in the fourth year (eighth semester).
Previously, DU had made the submission of a 30-minute video mandatory for the eighth semester. According to a DU official, students who enrolled in the four-year undergraduate program in 2022 are currently appearing for their eighth-semester examinations in the fourth year of their studies.
Since the video submission requirement was a new stipulation for this cohort, this decision—aimed at providing them relief—was taken following the approval of the competent authority. According to the official, this relief has been extended to students appearing for their eighth-semester examinations during the academic session 2026-27. Before this, a similar exemption was also granted to students in the seventh semester. Additionally, the university has granted colleges extra time to conduct the *viva-voce* examinations.
