Delhi University UG Admission: The admission process for UG programs at Delhi University is not yet complete. In fact, over 9,000 seats in UG programs at the university are still vacant. To fill these seats, DU has started the physical spot mop-up round of admissions. The application process for the spot mop-up round began on Wednesday, September 17th. Under this process, students can apply for admission to DU until 11:59 pm on September 19th.
According to the seat matrix released by DU, a total of 9,194 seats are vacant. Of these, the highest number of 2,136 seats are vacant in the OBC category, followed by 1,439 seats in the General category, 1,092 in the SC category, 1,528 in the ST category, 1,248 in the EWS category, 1,263 in the PwBD category, 246 in the Sikh category, and 242 in the Christian category.
Who will be eligible to apply?
Only students who have not yet secured admission to any college can apply in this Delhi University admission round. Students who have already secured admission will not be eligible. Students must submit their profiles along with the required documents when applying. Incomplete or incorrect documents will result in the cancellation of admission. Students who are not yet registered for admission to Delhi University on the CSAS (UG)-2025 portal can register by paying a fee of ₹1,000. Students who have already secured admission will not be eligible to participate in this round-up.
What is the admission process?
After the application process at Delhi University is complete, the university will begin shortlisting on September 23rd. Candidates selected based on seats and merit will be sent an invitation letter via email, with a reporting date and time. Candidates must appear in person at the university at the designated time. No representatives will be permitted. Delhi University's mop-up round is said to be more beneficial for students who did not receive admission in the first round.
