DU UG Admission 2026: How to register for CSAS if the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation result hasn't been declared?
DU UG Admission 2026: Delhi University has commenced the registration process for the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2026) for undergraduate courses for the 2026-27 academic session. However, many CBSE Class 12 students have not yet received their re-evaluation results. Consequently, they face the question of how to register for CSAS, as the process requires entering Class 12 marks.
Delhi University has stated that such students need not worry; the university has made special provisions for them. If you also wish to seek admission to Delhi University this year, ensure you fully understand the entire process—including fees and regulations—before applying.
What should CBSE Class 12 students awaiting re-evaluation results do?
Delhi University has advised CBSE Class 12 students whose re-evaluation results are pending not to panic. According to DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi, these students should enter their original Class 12 marks for now. Once the revised results are released, they can update their marks on the portal. The CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks, providing ample time for these updates.
What is the registration fee for Phase 1?
The DU CSAS Phase 1 registration fee is ₹250 for candidates in the Unreserved, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories, while it is ₹100 for SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates. For students applying to BFA, BSc (PE, HE & S), or B.A. (Hons) courses, the fee is ₹400.
The fee for applying under the ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) and Sports supernumerary quotas is ₹100 for each quota.
In how many phases will the admission process be completed?
The admission process for DU's undergraduate courses will be conducted in three phases. The first phase, which is currently underway, involves registering on the CSAS portal. Next, in the second phase, you will have to select your preferred colleges and courses; the schedule for this will be released later. This will be followed by the third phase, where seat allocation will be carried out based on your CUET-UG scores and your preferences.
What is DU's rule regarding subject selection?
Delhi University has clarified that you can pursue graduation only in the subjects you studied and passed in Class 12. You must also have taken the CUET-UG exam in those same subjects. Seat allocation will be based on CUET-UG scores.
