DU UG Admission 2026: Phase 2 of the admission process at Delhi University has commenced following the conclusion of Phase 1. DU officials stated on Saturday that over 142,000 registrations have been received for undergraduate admissions. Of these, more than 43,500 candidates have already submitted their program and college preferences for the second phase.
According to Haneet Gandhi, DU's Dean of Admissions, a total of 142,733 candidates completed the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Among them, 43,547 candidates have entered details regarding their preferred programs and colleges for the second phase. The second phase of undergraduate admissions began on July 3 and will remain open until 11:59 PM on July 11.
71,000 Seats Across 67 Colleges
Admissions will be conducted for over 71,000 undergraduate seats across 67 Delhi University colleges. Admissions will be processed through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) based on CUET UG 2026 scores. The admission process encompasses 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA program combinations, subject to program-specific eligibility requirements.
Officials stated that under the second phase, before selecting their preferred programs and colleges, candidates must map the subjects they appeared for in the CUET UG 2026 exam with the subjects they studied in Class 12.
According to the Delhi University schedule, the simulated rank will be published on the CSAS portal at 5 PM on July 12. Subsequently, candidates will have the opportunity to modify their program and college preferences and reorder them until July 13.
Seat Allocation and Admission Schedule
The first seat allocation list for undergraduate courses at Delhi University will be released on July 16. Candidates will be required to accept their allocated seat by July 18. Meanwhile, colleges will complete the verification process by July 20. The deadline for depositing admission fees under the first round is July 21.
The second seat allotment list will be released on July 25. Students allotted a seat in this round must accept it by July 26, after which colleges will verify admissions by July 27. The last date to deposit admission fees for the second round is July 28.
