Today is the last chance for undergraduate admissions at Delhi University (DU). 9,194 seats remain vacant in the on-the-spot mop-up round, and the admission process must be completed today to fill them.

Today is a crucial day for thousands of students who dream of studying at Delhi University (DU). This is the last opportunity to apply for admission to undergraduate courses for the 2025-26 academic session. The university has clarified that this is the last chance to complete the admission process in the on-the-spot mop-up round. Students who miss this opportunity will not be given another chance.

How many seats are vacant?

According to data released by DU, a total of 9,194 seats remain vacant after the first mop-up round. These include seats under various categories. 1,439 seats are for the General category, 2,136 for OBCs, 1,092 for SCs, 1,528 for STs, 1,248 for EWS, 1,263 for differently-abled candidates, 246 for Sikhs, and 242 for Christian students remain vacant. This means that opportunities still exist for students from various backgrounds, but the only condition is that the admission process must be completed today.

How many students have registered?

According to DU Admissions Dean Prof. Haneet Gandhi, 12,210 candidates have registered so far for the on-the-spot mop-up round. Students have been shortlisted based on their preferences, merit, and seat availability. Those who have received a call from the university must report to their respective colleges today. If a student fails to report by the scheduled time, their admission will be automatically cancelled.

If you miss today, you won't get another chance.

Delhi University has already clarified that this is the last round. If a student misses this opportunity, they won't get another chance to enroll in undergraduate programs. Those who have waited until now must complete the process today without delay.

NCWEB also releases special cutoff list

DU's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) will also release a special cutoff list for admission to BA and B.Com programs today. A total of 2,800 seats will be available under this list. Of these, approximately 1,000 seats are available for BA programs and approximately 1,800 seats are available for B.Com programs. This will be another golden opportunity for students seeking admission to these courses.

When will admissions be held and the last date for fee submission?

The admission process based on the special cutoff will run from September 30 to October 2, 2025. Colleges will then have to approve admissions by October 3. The last date for fee payment is October 4, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
