Delhi University Seat Acceptance: The excitement of the students was worth seeing after the release of the first seat allotment list for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University (DU) this year. So far, 72,659 candidates have accepted their allotted seats, while 14,939 applications have also been approved by the colleges after verification. These figures are till 9:40 pm on July 20, when the university's first CSAS-UG allotment list was released at 5 pm.

More than 93,000 seats allotted, only 71,624 seats available
Delhi University has allotted a total of 93,166 seats, 71,624 seats this time. A senior official said, "Like every year, this time also seat shuffling is done by the students, so more seats have been allotted than required." These seat allotments include 79 undergraduate programmes in 69 colleges and cover all categories- General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, Sikh Minority, PwBD, Kashmiri Migrant, Single Girl Child, and Orphan students.

27,533 seat acceptances in the first two hours
As soon as the first allotment list was released, 27,533 students accepted their seats in the first two hours, which shows the transparency and speed of the process. Seats will be allotted in the third round for performance-based courses like Hindustani Music, Carnatic Music, Percussion, Physical Education, and Fine Arts. Candidates are advised to check the trial schedule on the websites of the respective colleges.

DU has started showing the minimum allotment marks and rank on the candidates' dashboard, giving complete transparency to the students. This information is now also being made available to all on the official website.
