DU Foreign Language Course: Opportunity to learn 8 foreign languages; pursue a one-year certificate course from Delhi University..

The School of Open Learning (SOL), the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), and the Open Learning Development Center (OLDC)—all under the Campus of Open Learning (COL) at Delhi University (DU)—have announced the commencement of the admission process for one-year certificate and diploma courses in eight foreign languages. The application process is currently underway, and the deadline to apply is 12:00 AM (midnight) on July 10.

Sharing details about the programs, COL Director Prof. Payal Mago stated that these courses—covering German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean—are being offered in collaboration with DU’s Department of Germanic and Romance Studies and the Department of East Asian Studies. To expand access to quality language education, the OLDC will soon launch these courses in online mode as well, enabling students from across the country to enroll.

**One-Year Certificate Course in Russian**
Further strengthening its portfolio of international language programs, the OLDC is set to launch one-year certificate and diploma courses in Russian, in collaboration with the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies at Delhi University. The Russian language course will be offered in both classroom and online modes.

Admissions for major courses offered by the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE) under DU’s Campus of Open Learning will begin on June 17, 2026.
