DU Admission: Delhi University (DU) has an opportunity to take admission in undergraduate courses. The biggest thing is that for this, you will no longer need a CUET score. In this round, admission will be given on the basis of 12th marks. If you want to study at DU and have not gotten a seat till now, then this is a golden opportunity for you. Let's understand what this mop-up round is and its schedule.

What is a mop-up round?

There are still some vacant seats in many courses like Science, Arts, and Commerce at DU. To fill these, the university has started a mop-up round, which has started from today. This time, admission will be based on 12th marks. There will be no need for a CUET score for this. Colleges themselves will handle the process of filling these seats. If seats remain vacant even after this round, the admission process will be closed.

Who can apply?

12th pass students: Those who have passed 12th can apply. If you have passed the compartment exam in 12th, you can still apply. If you had previously applied on DU's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, but did not get a seat, then you do not have to register again. Just update the details in your profile. New students who did not apply on the CSAS portal earlier can now apply on the basis of their 12th marks. Those who have already got a seat in DU on the basis of the CUET score cannot participate in this round.

Mop-up round schedule

Last date of application: 7 September 2025

List of vacant seats: Will be released on the DU website by 5 pm on 4 September.

DU Admission Process: How will the admission process be?
Apply online from 4 to 7 September by visiting ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Make sure that the 12th marks are filled correctly. Colleges will prepare the merit list on the basis of 12th marks from 8 September. If the marks of two students are equal, then the tie-breaking rules of the CSAS portal will be applicable. The marks of the best 4 subjects (including one language) of 12th will be considered. If you are allotted more than one seat, then you have to choose only one and deposit its fee by 13 September. While taking admission, you will have to give an affidavit to the college that you have not taken admission in any other college of DU for the 2025-26 session. If you are allotted any other seat after taking admission in the mop-up round, then you can cancel the old admission and choose a new seat. For this, you will have to deposit the difference fee within 2 days.
