What are the eligibility criteria?

To become a drone pilot, a candidate must be at least 18 years old and a maximum of 65 years old. The minimum educational qualification is 10th grade. An Aadhaar card, mobile number, and email address are also required for the application so that all official information can be obtained online.

How to Get a Certificate

To obtain a certificate, one must first visit the DGCA website and select an accredited training center. Several renowned institutes in India, such as IGRUA, Drone Destination, Skylark Drones, and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy, offer drone pilot training.

The training typically lasts 5 to 7 days. It includes both theoretical and practical classes. Subjects such as drone flying rules, air safety, weather conditions, navigation, mapping, and data analysis are covered. After completing the course, an online test is conducted by the DGCA. After passing this test, the drone pilot certificate can be downloaded by visiting the DGCA website "Digital Sky Platform."
