The application process for this recruitment has begun today, September 27, 2025, and interested candidates can apply until October 28, 2025. A total of 195 positions will be recruited

A total of 195 vacant positions will be filled under this recruitment. These include 40 Graduate Apprentice positions, 20 Technician Apprentice positions, and 135 ITI Trade Apprentice positions. This opportunity is specifically for freshers and young people interested in pursuing a career in the research field.

Educational Qualifications Required for Application

Certain eligibility and educational qualifications have been established for candidates applying. For the Graduate Apprentice position, a candidate must have a BE or BTech degree in the relevant branch. For the Technician Apprentice position, a diploma in the relevant subject is mandatory. Furthermore, for ITI Trade Apprentice positions, candidates must have an ITI certificate in trades such as fitter, welder, turner, machinist, diesel mechanic, draftsman, electronic mechanic, electrician, library assistant, and COPA. Furthermore, only candidates who have completed a Graduate Diploma or ITI degree between 2021 and 2025 with at least 70% marks are eligible to apply.

Age Limit and Stipend

The minimum age for candidates applying for this recruitment is 18 years and the maximum age is 24 years. Candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government regulations. Candidates will also receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,000 to ₹9,000. Selection will be based on educational qualifications and technical skills. Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo document verification and a medical test. The apprenticeship period will be up to 1 year.

1. To apply for DRDO, BE or BTech candidates can register by visiting nats.education.gov.in.
2. ITI trade apprentice candidates can register by visiting apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
3. After registration, candidates will need to select their enrollment ID.
4. After filling in the required information, upload all documents and submit the form.
5. After submitting the form, take a printout of the form and keep it safe, which will be useful to you in future.
