DRDO NMRL Paid Internship 2026: The Naval Materials Research Laboratory (NMRL), operating under the aegis of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced an excellent opportunity for a paid internship for B.E./B.Tech and M.Sc. students. Under this internship program, selected students will have the opportunity to work on real-world research projects for a duration of six months. Additionally, they will be provided with a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.

**Eligibility Criteria**
Candidates applying for the internship must fulfill the following conditions:

**For Engineering Students:**

Candidates must be in the final year of their B.E./B.Tech degree program.
A minimum CGPA of 7.0 across all previous semesters is mandatory.

**For M.Sc. Students:**

Candidates must be pursuing their second year of post-graduation.
They must have secured a minimum of 65% marks in the first year. **Other Essential Conditions**
The student must be a regular (full-time) student at an institution recognized by the AICTE or UGC.
The candidate's age must be under 25 years.

**How ​​much stipend will be provided?**
This internship will span a total duration of 6 months. Selected students will be awarded a monthly stipend of ₹5,000. However, to be eligible for the stipend, students are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 15 working days per month at the lab. The stipend will be disbursed in two installments:

First Installment – ​​Upon completion of 3 months
Second Installment – ​​Upon completion of 6 months
**What is the selection process?**
Candidates will be selected strictly based on merit. Priority will be accorded to the students' academic scores. If deemed necessary, an online interaction or interview may also be conducted. Selected candidates will be notified via email.

A certificate will be issued only after the successful completion of the internship and the submission of the project report.
NMRL will not provide any accommodation or boarding facilities.
This internship does not constitute a guarantee of, or a claim to, future employment at DRDO.

Mark sheet of the final semester/year
Copy of Aadhaar Card
Reference/Request letter issued by the College Principal or HOD
