Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has initiated its enrollment process for the July 2026 session. Simultaneously, preparations for conducting the June 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE) have also been finalized. Dr. Suraj Singh, Assistant Coordinator of the IGNOU Learner Support Centre (0508) at Purnia College, Purnia, has issued detailed guidelines regarding both enrollment and examinations.

**Online Applications Until July 15; APAAR ID Mandatory**
IGNOU has set July 15, 2026, as the deadline for applications for enrollment in various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Diploma, PG Diploma, and Certificate programs under the July 2026 session. Interested candidates may enroll online either through the Learner Support Centre located at Purnia College or by visiting IGNOU's official website.

Dr. Suraj Singh clarified that, for this session, it has been made mandatory for candidates to have their APAAR ID ready *before* enrolling. The Assistant Coordinator noted that IGNOU's programs are employment-oriented and skill-based, offering students an excellent opportunity to pursue their studies alongside their work or other responsibilities. To avoid technical glitches that may occur at the last minute, students are advised to apply promptly rather than waiting until the final deadline.

**Female Students to Receive ₹50,000; Scholarship Opportunities Available**
Eligible students who enroll may apply for various scholarship schemes available on the Government of India's National Scholarship Portal under categories such as sports, academics, or other specific criteria. Furthermore, under the Bihar Government's *Mukhyamantri Balika (Snatak) Protsahan Yojana* (Chief Minister's Female Graduate Incentive Scheme), female students who complete their graduation through IGNOU are awarded an incentive amount of ₹50,000. This is subject to the condition that the student is a domicile of Bihar and has completed her studies through an IGNOU Study Centre located within Bihar.

**Term-End Examinations to Begin on June 1; Purnia College Designated as Centre**
IGNOU's June 2026 Term-End Examination is scheduled to be conducted from June 1, 2026, to July 21, 2026. Purnia College, Purnia, has been designated as the main examination center for this examination, which is scheduled to span a total of 41 days. A total of 17,680 examinees from various academic sessions are expected to appear at this center.

**Strict Entry Rules for Examination Hall; ID Proof Mandatory**
Dr. Suraj Singh has appealed to all examinees to strictly adhere to the examination rules. The key guidelines issued regarding the examination are as follows: Carrying any type of electronic device—including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators—as well as books or notes inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited.

At the time of entry into the examination hall, examinees are required to possess a valid original identity card issued by IGNOU, in addition to their Hall Ticket. In the absence of an IGNOU identity card, a student may appear for the examination by presenting a valid photo identity card issued by any government institution (such as a Voter ID, Driving License, etc.). For further information, students may contact the IGNOU Learner Support Center located at Purnia College on any working day.
