Delhi University (DU) has achieved a historic achievement in the field of education. This top university of the country has received an NAAC A++ grade. DU got the highest grade A++ grade in the Institutional Assessment and Accreditation Cycle 2 announced by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on August 8. The university has achieved a CGPA of 3.55. This grade is valid for five years till the year 2029. On this great achievement of DU, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Yogesh Singh, said that in the last cycle, i.e., 2018, Delhi University got an A+ grade with a CGPA of 3.28, but this time it has got an A++ grade. He said that this improvement in the grade of DU reflects the university's commitment towards quality, education, and research innovation.

KGMU of Lucknow also got an A++ grade
Apart from Delhi University, King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow has also achieved an A++ grade in the latest assessment cycle conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). KGMU has a 3.67 CGPA, making it the second medical institute of Uttar Pradesh to achieve this feat after Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI). Apart from this, Berhampur University of Odisha has also received an A grade in the NAAC accreditation cycle, which will be valid for 5 years.
NAAC is the standard of quality in higher education. This autonomous body under the University Grants Commission (UGC) evaluates institutions on the basis of several criteria, including curriculum, research, innovation, infrastructure and student support system. Although participation in this process is voluntary, it is considered a standard of transparency and quality in higher education.
