Delhi University Admission: Now in Delhi University (DU), students without maths in 12th can also be admission to B.Com Honors. DU has withdrawn its old decision. This means that now even those students who have not studied maths in their 12th class will be able to take admission in B.Com Honors. Earlier, the rule was that to gain admission in B.Com Honors, students had to have maths or applied mathematics in 12th. This decision was causing difficulties for many students who were studying commerce without mathematics.

Students were protesting

This had limited the career options for the students and they were not getting a chance to take admission in this course. Students and teachers' organizations opposing this decision called it a step to create inequality in the field of education. They wanted the compulsion of mathematics should be removed so that those students who are weak in mathematics or who are interested in other subjects could also be admission to this course. Due to pressure from students and academics, Delhi University has decided to change its decision.

Now this facility has been given.

Now, Delhi University has given this facility under the new rules that students can take admission in B.Com Honors even without studying mathematics. Students can now appear for CUET (Common University Entrance Test) with any one of two different subject combinations.

The first combination can be something like this.

1. Any one language (like Hindi or English)

2. Mathematics or Applied Mathematics

3. Two other subjects from List B1

The second combination can be:

1. Any one language

2. Accountancy or Book Keeping

3. Two other subjects from List B1
