Delhi Schools Closed: Pollution levels are being measured at over 450 in many areas of Delhi-NCR. Delhi's rising AQI is leading to new health problems. Every second person is suffering from a cough, cold, fever, or headache. This toxic air is proving more harmful to children than adults. Instead of developing their immunity at a young age, it is being pushed into the risk zone. In light of this situation, the Delhi government has directed that schools up to grade 5 be conducted online.

The situation in Delhi is similar to that in Noida, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, and Faridabad. People confined to their homes are also complaining of eye irritation. However, unlike the Delhi government, the Uttar Pradesh government has not yet issued any orders for online classes. This has left parents and students worried. With pollution in Delhi falling into the "very poor" category, the government has implemented Grade 3. Under this, classes for children up to grade 5 will be conducted in hybrid mode.

Delhi Pollution News: A new order will come on Sunday
The decision to operate schools in Delhi in hybrid mode will remain in effect until November 14, 2025. After this, most schools will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays. An order on whether schools will operate online or offline on Monday, November 17, 2025, is expected by Sunday. If the weather remains the same, students in senior classes may also study online. Meanwhile, students studying in the NCR region, including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, and Faridabad, are also waiting for schools to reopen.

Delhi AQI: Wear a mask while going to school

Children studying in Delhi have received messages from their schools. The message clearly states the decision to operate classes up to the fifth grade in hybrid mode. Most schools have issued clear notifications stating that classes from the sixth to the twelfth grade will continue as usual. However, students will be required to wear N95 masks. This will help protect against pollution. All students are advised to use masks when leaving home and limit outdoor activities.
