Interested candidates can now register online for MP TET 2026 until October 11. If any errors remain in the form after completing the application process, there will be an opportunity to make corrections until October 12. Candidates are advised to complete their applications without waiting for the final day.
**Deadline extended due to low application numbers**
The initial deadline for applications was set for October 5. The timeframe has been extended for the third time following a low number of applications. According to reports, approximately 1.5 lakh serving teachers in the state fall under the purview of this exam, yet only about 22,000 to 24,000 applications have been submitted so far.
**Teachers raise questions on various issues**
Teacher organizations and candidates have raised several questions regarding the exam. They argue that there should be clarity on which post or cadre the exam is mandatory for. Retired teachers have also expressed concerns regarding job security. Furthermore, objections have been raised concerning the application fees and portal charges.
**Exam in both online and offline modes**
Following Supreme Court directives, the option to conduct the exam in offline mode alongside the online mode has been introduced.
