This year, students were allowed to select only a maximum of 5 subjects, which means that the total maximum possible marks for CUET is 1250.

The probable passing number is between 200 and 240. The passing marks for the general category are 50 percent, for SC, ST, and Divyang, it is 45 percent. 5 marks will be given to the student for each correct answer. According to media reports, if a student gets marks between 780 and 800, then it is considered a good score. At the same time, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, there is no fixed concept of passing or failing in the exam. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the percentile. Every university releases its cutoff for admission.
CUET UG 2025: What is the option for students with low marks?
Students who have received low marks in CUET UG. They do not need to worry about admission. There are many options for such students. Students can apply for admission in state universities, private universities, deemed universities and some central universities.
