social media

CUET UG 2024: The CUET UG 2024 exam started on May 15 at 10 am. But just before that, on the night of 14th May, suddenly NTA postponed the examination to be held in Delhi. However, the reason for postponing the examination was not given. Now information is coming out that due to a lack of manpower, the examination has had to be postponed. NTA has said that except in Delhi, the examination will be held as per its scheduled schedule in all other cities of the country and abroad. Except for Delhi, there has been no change in the schedule of the CUET UG exam in all the cities including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida.

CUET UG exam was to be held on May 15 at around 258 centers in Delhi. Now it will be organized on 29th May. However, the examination to be held in Delhi on 16, 17, and 18 May will be held as per schedule. There has been no change in the program for these three days.

Why was the CUET UG exam postponed in Delhi?

According to media reports, there are many reasons behind postponing the examination of May 15 in Delhi. The number of students appearing for the CUET UG exam in Delhi is 1 lakh 46 thousand. This number is double that of NEET UG candidates.

According to reports, the biggest reason behind postponing the first day of the CUET UG exam was a lack of manpower. Last Monday, the fourth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections was held in the country. In which a large number of supervisors were on duty. Due to this, there was a shortage of examination invigilators for the examination on May 15. Apart from this, elections are also on 25th May, hence it is difficult to find centers in many places.

A revised admit card will be issued

NTA released the admit card for the examination on 15, 16, 17, and 18 May. But the exam of 15th May in Delhi will now be held on 29th May. In such a situation, new admit cards will be issued to these candidates.

Most students were going to appear for the exam on 15th May.

The maximum number of candidates were going to appear in the CUET UG examination to be held on 15th May. Because on this day there were papers of both English and General Test. There were more than 10 lakh applications for English and more than 8 lakh applications for General Test. This time the examination of subjects with more applications is being conducted in offline mode.
