Importantly, the CUET exam in 2026 will be held in May, and students will have the option to choose a total of 5 subjects.
CUET UG Exam to be held in May 2026
According to the NTA advisory, CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in May 2026. According to media reports and sources, the exam may start between May 13 and 15, 2026. However, the exact dates of the examination will be announced later through an official notification.
The online registration process for CUET is likely to begin in the last week of February or the first week of March 2026. Therefore, students preparing for CUET should focus on both their documents and their studies from now on.
Prepare for the CUET 2026 syllabus topic-wise
The NTA has clearly stated that the complete syllabus for CUET 2026 has been uploaded on the website. Separate topics have been provided for each subject, and students will have to prepare based on them.

The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a total of 37 subjects. These include language subjects, domain subjects, and a general aptitude test. The CUET exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu.
