CTET 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the complete exam schedule for CTET February 2026. This time, the board has made significant changes to the exam dates and pattern. Initially, the exam was planned to be held on a single day, but due to a substantial increase in the number of registered candidates, the CTET will now be conducted over two days.
According to the notice issued by CBSE, the 21st edition of CTET will now be held on February 7 and 8, 2026. Previously, the exam was scheduled for only February 8. The board states that conducting the exam over two days will ensure better management at the exam centers and facilitate a smoother process. This will also minimize inconvenience for the candidates.
How to Apply
The CTET February 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts on both days. Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be held on each day. The board has clarified that the exam will be conducted in 140 cities across the country. Candidates are advised to carefully check the information provided on their admit cards.
Complete Exam Timetable
According to the CBSE schedule, on February 7, 2026, Paper-2 will be held in the morning shift, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. On the same day, Paper-1 will be conducted in the afternoon shift, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The same pattern will be followed on February 8, 2026. Reaching the Exam Center on Time is Crucial
CBSE has strictly instructed candidates to reach their designated exam center at least one hour before the exam. The board has also clarified that no candidate will be allowed entry after the exam begins. Therefore, do not be negligent regarding the reporting time.

CTET is an important eligibility exam, passing which is mandatory to become a teacher for classes 1 to 8. This exam is conducted by CBSE on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
