CSIR UGC-NET 2026 Applications Open: Realize Your Dream of Research and Becoming a Professor

The application process for the CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 examination has officially commenced. Through this examination, students can secure opportunities for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the position of Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs.

Major news has emerged for lakhs of students across the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the online application process for the Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 examination.


Every year, thousands of students pursuing studies in science disciplines eagerly await this examination. This test determines which students will be awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for research, who will qualify to become an Assistant Professor, and who will secure admission to Ph.D. programs at the country’s premier universities. Following the notice issued by the NTA, enthusiasm among students has surged. Examination to be Held in July

The NTA has announced that the examination will be conducted on July 17 and 18, 2026. The examination will be held entirely in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. On both days, the examination will be conducted in two separate shifts. Students are advised to complete their applications well in advance to avoid potential issues caused by heavy website traffic during the final moments.

Application Process Begins

The online application process began on May 27, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website. The deadline for submitting applications has been set for 11:50 PM on June 19, 2026. Meanwhile, the final date for the payment of the application fee is June 20, 2026.

Should any errors occur while filling out the application form, there is no need to worry. The NTA has also provided students with an opportunity to make corrections. The correction window for making amendments to the application form will remain open from June 22 to June 23, 2026.

Subsequently, accurately fill in your personal and academic details.
You must upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
The application fee can be paid via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
After verifying all the details, submit the form and download the confirmation page.
