NTA has made a big change in CSIR UGC NET exam 2025. Earlier this exam was to be conducted for three days, but now it has been decided to settle it in a single day. The main reason for this was the date clash with Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET).

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that now the CSIR UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted only on 28 July 2025. Earlier this exam was to be held on 26, 27 and 28 July in different shifts, but due to date clash with HTET, students had objected. Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the date of the exam has now been revised.

Advance city slip will be released soon

Candidates going to appear in the exam will get information about the exam center 8 to 10 days in advance through advance city intimation slip. This slip will be available on the official website of NTA.

How will the exam be conducted?

CSIR UGC NET exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. This exam will have three sections of total 200 marks.

Part A: General Aptitude

Part B: Subject-specific Multiple Choice Questions

Part C: High-level Analytical Questions

Candidates will have to solve this paper in 3 hours. Negative marking will also be applicable in the exam, in which 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, it may also vary slightly according to the subject.

Why was the date changed?

Many candidates had complained to NTA that the dates of CSIR NET are clashing with HTET, due to which it is not possible to sit in both the exams. NTA took this decision after listening to the students and the exam was scheduled on a single day, 28th July.

What should the candidates do now?

Now the students have to focus on only one day and prepare accordingly. All the candidates who are going to appear in this exam should keep an eye on the updates of their admit card and city slip.
