The last date for registration and fee payment for the CSIR NET (December 2026) examination is today, November 5, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for this exam but have not yet filled out the form should complete the online application process without further delay. Those who register and pay the fee today will be able to submit their forms by November 6, 2026.
**Late fee applicable after today**
Candidates who pay the fee today but fail to submit their forms by tomorrow will be given another opportunity to apply, subject to the payment of a late fee. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open a window from November 7 to November 9 for this purpose. Candidates applying during this period will be required to pay an additional fee of ₹500.

To fill out the CSIR NET application form, first visit the official website: csirnet.nta.nic.in.
On the website's home page, look under the 'LATEST NEWS' section and click on 'Online Application for Joint CSIR UGC-NET December 2026'.
On the new page, click on the 'New Candidate Register Here' link and complete the registration by providing the required details.
Once registered, proceed to fill in the remaining details in the application form. Next, candidates should upload their photograph and signature.
Finally, pay the prescribed fee, submit the form, and take a printout to keep for your records.
Application Fee
For the CSIR NET December examination, candidates from the General category are required to pay a fee of ₹1150, while those from the General-EWS and OBC (NCL) categories must pay ₹600. The application fee for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender categories is set at ₹325. Candidates from any category applying with a late fee will be required to pay an additional amount of ₹500.
Examination to be held for 5 subjects
The examination for the December session will be conducted for 5 subjects: 1. Chemical Sciences, 2. Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, 3. Life Sciences and Biotechnology, 4.
