CM Shri School Admissions 2026: The Delhi Directorate of Education has begun the admission process for CM Shri Schools for the new 2026-27 academic session. Students can now apply online for admission to classes 6, 9, and 11. Form submission began on February 27, 2026, and the deadline is March 12, 2026.

Interested students and their parents can easily apply by visiting the official website, edudel.nic.in. Submission of forms is mandatory before the deadline.

According to the official notification, only Delhi residents and students studying in a recognized school in Delhi during the 2025-26 academic session are eligible to apply. Eligibility criteria are mandatory, and applications that do not meet these requirements may be rejected.

50% Reservation of Seats
According to the notice, 50 percent of the total seats will be reserved for students who have passed classes 5, 8, and 10 from Delhi government schools. Other eligible students who meet the prescribed residency and educational requirements can apply for the remaining seats.

Exams to be held in March and May
Admit cards for the Mukhyamantri Shri Vidyalaya Entrance Examination 2026 will be issued separately. According to the schedule released by the department, the entrance examinations for classes 6 and 9 will be conducted by the last week of March 2026, while the Class 11 examination will be held in May 2026. According to a PTI report, the department aims to complete the admission process for classes 6 and 9 by April 30, 2026.

No Negative Marking in Class 6
According to the circular, the Class 6 question paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English), while the Class 9 and 11 question papers will be given only in English. Negative marking will not apply in the Class 6 entrance examination, but marks will be deducted for wrong answers in Class 9 and 11 examinations. In terms of mark distribution, the Class 6 exam will be of 300 marks, while the Class 9 and 11 exams will be of 400 marks each.

CM Shri Schools, an initiative of the Delhi government, provides education focused on modern infrastructure, updated curriculum, and holistic teaching methods. On February 17, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the program in 75 government schools in the city and inaugurated a CM Shri School in Sarojini Nagar.
