Smart Classrooms: The 75 CM Shri schools in Delhi are about to be transformed. To provide a better and modern educational environment for children, these schools will undergo extensive improvements and new facilities at a cost of approximately ₹265 crore.

A proposal worth ₹264 crore 90 lakh 88 thousand was approved at a meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Under the scheme, school buildings will be renovated and developed into safe, technology-based, and student-friendly campuses. The entrances of CM Shri schools will be redesigned under the scheme. The CM Shri logo and name will be displayed on the schools.

Problems of dampness, moisture, and poor plaster in the buildings will be addressed. Waterproofing, painting, boundary walls, fencing, toilets, drinking water, sewerage, and drainage systems will be improved. Additionally, sports facilities will be developed as needed, and rainwater harvesting systems will be repaired.

The project also prioritizes the needs of children with special needs. Facilities such as disabled-friendly ramps, textile paths, and handrails will be developed in schools.

The government's goal is not just to renovate school buildings, but to create modern learning campuses that provide students with a safe, clean, inclusive, and technology-enabled environment. The plan is targeted for completion by the end of next year. Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister
