CLAT vs AILET vs SLAT: For admission in good colleges for graduation and post-graduation (LLB and LLM) in law, one has to pass entrance exams. For this, students have the option of entrance exams like CLAT, SLAT, and AILET. Admission is given to 24 National Law Universities of the country through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score. Whereas the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted only for admission to the National Law University, Delhi. At the same time, Symbiosis International University takes admission through the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT).

CLAT vs AILET vs SLAT: In which courses will admission be given

CLAT: Admission is given in BA/BSc/BCom/BSW LLB (Hons) and LLM courses through CLAT.

AILET: Admission will be given in BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD courses.

SLAT: Through this, admissions will be done in BA LLB and BBA LLB courses.

CLAT vs AILET vs SLAT: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

CLAT and AILET entrance exams are conducted offline and SLAT in online mode. CLAT and SLAT exams are two hours while AILET has 90 minutes. Talking about the syllabus, questions related to the English language, current affairs, general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, etc. are asked in all three exams. The questions asked in these entrance exams are objective type. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in all three entrance exams. Therefore, candidates have to take special care while taking the exam.

CLAT vs AILET vs SLAT: Which entrance exam is difficult?

CLAT: The difficulty level of the CLAT entrance exam ranges from moderate to difficult. In this, questions related to the English language, logical reasoning, current affairs, general knowledge, and quantitative aptitude are asked. To score well in this, candidates should have good analytical skills.

AILET: This law entrance exam is more difficult than CLAT. NLU Delhi has designed it to test the law knowledge of the candidates. To score well in this, candidates should have studied subjects like English language, general knowledge, current affairs, legal aptitude, logical reasoning, and numerical ability.

SLAT: This entrance exam is easier than CLAT. More candidates participate in CLAT as compared to this. Also, the syllabus is bigger.

However, the pattern of both entrance exams is the same.
