Will there be changes to the CLAT 2027 syllabus and exam pattern?
The Consortium's governing body has clarified that there will be no changes to the syllabus, sections, or exam pattern for either the UG or PG CLAT 2027 question papers.
However, the CLAT 2027 Convener and the experts preparing the question papers have been instructed to implement the suggestions made in the CLAT Expert Committee report regarding the quality and format of questions, wherever possible.
Suggestions invited on the Expert Committee report
The Consortium has made the CLAT Expert Committee Report 2026 public on its official website. Students, experts, and the general public can submit their opinions and suggestions via an online form. The deadline for submitting feedback is August 31, 2026.
Recommendations for CLAT 2028 to be Considered
According to the notification, it was decided during a meeting held on May 17, 2026, at the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal—chaired by the Consortium's President—that the Office of the Chief Justice of India (CJI) would constitute a committee to further review the recommendations made by the expert committee.
The Consortium has stated that it will coordinate with the proposed committee and finalize the examination framework for CLAT 2028, taking into account both the expert committee's recommendations and suggestions received from the general public.
