CLAT 2026: One more chance to register for CLAT exam, application deadline extended till November 7..
CLAT 2026: The Consortium of National Law Universities has provided a major relief to candidates applying for the Common Law Admission Test. The Consortium of NLUs has extended the deadline for submitting online applications to November 7, 2025 (Friday). The previous deadline was October 31. Interested candidates can now apply through November 7 by visiting the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
CLAT 2026 Exam on December 7
According to a notification issued by the Consortium, the CLAT exam will be held on December 7, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs at the 25 National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country. Additionally, many affiliated colleges and institutes also accept CLAT scores.
The Consortium stated, “Admission to all 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programs starting in the 2026–27 session will be conducted only through CLAT 2026.”
Who can apply?
Students appearing for the board examinations scheduled for March–April 2026 can also apply for CLAT 2026, provided they submit proof of passing the qualifying examination during the admission process.

CLAT Application Fees
The application fee for CLAT 2026 is as follows, category-wise:
General, OBC, and NRI candidates: ₹4,000
SC, ST, BPL, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates: ₹3,500
Additionally, a set of previous years' CLAT question papers will be available separately for ₹500, which is not included in the application fee. Student representatives and candidates have also requested that the Consortium to reduce the application fee and review the fee structure.
How to Apply
First, visit the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Click on the "CLAT 2026 Registration" link and register by entering your mobile number, email ID, and name.
After registration, log in using your login ID and password.
Carefully fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and course (UG/PG).
Upload scanned passport-size photographs, signatures, and other required documents.
Pay the application fee online as per your category.
After verifying all the information, submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
