The admission process has started in 23 National Law Universities in the country. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is organized by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to these. The application process for CLAT for admission in the academic session 2025 will start on July 15 and will run till October 15. Any eligible candidate can apply online for it.

Students interested in studying law in the prestigious and top law universities of the country can apply on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. After application, the eligibility test will be held on December 1 from 2 pm to 4 pm. This exam will be taken in offline mode i.e. in the examination centers. In this eligibility test, candidates of the PWD category will be given an additional 40 minutes.

Students who have studied 10+2 or equivalent can apply to the UG course. It is necessary to have at least 45% or equivalent grades in the exam. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, a minimum of 40% or equivalent grade is required. Students who have applied for the qualifying exam to be held in March/April can also apply.

50% mandatory for PG courses
According to the Consortium of NLUs, only those students will be eligible for admission in PG courses, that is, those people will be able to apply who have passed LLB or its equivalent degree with at least 50% or equivalent grade.
