Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has started the registration process for NEET UG 2025 counseling. The counseling process has started for admission to state quota seats of MBBS, BDS, and other medical UG courses. Candidates successful in NEET UG 2025 can register for the first round of counseling till August 4 by visiting the official website cgdme.in. In such a situation, let us know how many medical colleges are there in Chhattisgarh and how many MBBS seats are there, on which admission is to be done.

For the first phase of counseling, candidates can fill out the choice from July 29 to August 5 and lock their seat. At the same time, the merit list for the first round will be released on August 6, and the seat allocation process will begin on August 7. The result of Round 1 seat allocation will be declared on August 8. Candidates who will be allotted seats in the first round will have to report to their respective colleges by the prescribed date to complete the admission process and document verification process. The verification process will be conducted from August 9 to August 14.

On the other hand, candidates who want to upgrade their seats in counseling round 2. They have to log in to the portal and upgrade the seat using OTP. Once this option is selected, the previous choice list will be canceled and the candidate will have to fill new options and lock the seat. A government medical college allotted in round 1 will not be re-allocated in round 2 or subsequent rounds.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Seats and College: How many medical colleges, how many MBBS seats?

There are a total of 14 medical colleges in Chhattisgarh, out of which 11 are government and 3 are private medical colleges. The total number of MBBS seats is 2255. Out of these, 1555 seats are in government colleges and 700 in private colleges. Out of the total MBBS seats in the state, 15 percent will be filled under the All India quota and the remaining seats will be filled under the state quota.
