CDAC C-CAT 2026: Registration for CDAC C-CAT PG program begins, apply by this date; know the fee..

The long-awaited wait for candidates with technical backgrounds across the country is over. On Thursday, November 27th, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) opened the registration process for C-CAT 2026. Candidates can apply online until December 29th on the official website, cdac.in. With the opening of registration, the race for admission to CDAC's postgraduate certificate and diploma courses has begun.

How to Register
To complete the registration process, candidates must pay an application fee. Students who have chosen to apply for Course Category 2 will have to pay ₹1,550 for Papers A and B, while Course Category 3, which includes Papers A, B, and C, has a fixed fee of ₹1,750. Payments will be accepted online, and candidates will be able to schedule their preferred exam date only after payment confirmation.

Candidates from different age groups can participate.
Regarding educational qualifications, CDAC C-CAT 2026 is open to candidates who have completed an engineering or technology degree in IT, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, electrical, or instrumentation with a minimum of 55 percent marks. Notably, there is no age limit for admission to CDAC's PG programs, allowing technical graduates from different age groups to participate.

The exam will be one hour long.
According to the exam schedule, C-CAT 2026 will be conducted on January 10th and 11th in computer-based mode. Admit cards will be released between January 6th and 10th. The exam will be one hour long and will consist of three sections, covering topics such as English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, computer fundamentals, C and C++ programming, operating systems, networking, big data, AI, computer architecture, and digital electronics.

Results will be released on January 22nd
After the completion of the exam, the results will be announced to the candidates on January 22nd. Based on their scores, seats will be allotted to the desired courses, and after the admission process is complete, CDAC's 24-week full-time PG Diploma batch will commence on February 25th. The program consists of a total of 1,200 hours, of which 300 hours are dedicated to self-study, making it an industry-oriented learning model.
