The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reminded all affiliated schools to ensure the correct entry of student data in the LOC (List of Candidates) for the 2025-26 Class 10 and 12 main board exams. The board has made the correction facility available on the official website, cbse.gov.in, from October 13th to 27th. During this period, schools can correct any errors in their students' names, dates of birth, and subject details.

The board has clarified that the spelling of students' names, dates of birth, and subjects chosen must match the school's admission records. Any errors may affect the student's future exams and marksheets. Therefore, schools have been advised to exercise utmost caution when filling out the LOC.

Be Careful in Selecting Subject Codes

The Board has provided examples to avoid mistakes when selecting subject codes. Class 10: Hindi-A (002), Hindi-B (085), Urdu-A (003), Urdu-B (303), Mathematics (Standard) (041), Mathematics (Basic) (241)

Class 12: Hindi Core (302), Hindi Optional (002), English Core (301), English Optional (001), Sanskrit Core (322), Sanskrit Optional (022), Urdu Core (303), Urdu Optional (003), Mathematics (041), Applied Maths (241) The Board has advised schools to ensure that the subject codes are selected correctly, as these are directly linked to the student's result and marksheet.

Information on the Correction Process

The Board has clarified that the correction facility will be available even after submitting the LOC. If a school has submitted the LOC and paid the fees on time, but later discovers an error in a student's data, it can be corrected until the deadline. However, additional fees may apply for certain changes.

After the correction process, schools will be able to generate verification slips for each student. If any errors are discovered during this process, the correction facility will be available.

Same rules apply for Class 9 and 11 students.

CBSE also clarified that the facility to correct the name, date of birth, and subject details in the LOC forms for Class 9 and 11 students will be available from October 13th to 27th. Schools have been instructed to enter all the information correctly during this period to avoid any future problems.
