CBSE Teacher Training Program: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an initiative to strengthen the education system. Under this initiative, the CBSE will train teachers across the country. This decision was taken to prepare teachers for teaching under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. In this regard, 14 new Capacity Building Programs (CBPs) have been launched for teacher training.

The CBSE's teacher training programs aim to update teachers so that they can teach children without limiting their teaching to textbooks, using new tools, activities, and easy methods. It was clarified at the Patna conference that these programs will provide teachers with a deeper understanding of the subject, easier classroom teaching methods, and new tools for better student learning.
Teacher Training Programs to Begin in October
According to the CBSE, all schools will disseminate information about these teacher training programs to their teachers. These training sessions will be conducted through CBSE's Centers of Excellence under the Training Triveni initiative, starting in October 2025.
What are the key programs?
Hindi Language (Class 10): Hindi teachers will be provided with improved teaching strategies to facilitate easier language learning.
Sanskrit (Secondary Stage): Focus on teaching students listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Painting (Secondary Stage): Techniques such as creative painting, folk art, origami, printmaking, and calligraphy will be taught.
Competency-Based Assessment (Social Science, Science, and Math): Case study-based assessments to promote critical thinking and problem-solving among children at the middle and secondary levels.
Economics (Class 12): A special module on national income and related topics, which will include new teaching and assessment strategies.
Value Education through Sports (All Stages): Developing qualities like teamwork, self-confidence, and inclusiveness in children through sports.
STEM Education (All Stages): Developing creativity and 21st-century skills in children through hands-on learning techniques.

The department believes that the biggest benefit of these new training programs will be that they will be able to study innovatively. This will not only make studies easier but will also develop qualities like critical thinking, practical knowledge, and teamwork.
