Between 4 million and 5 million students participate in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations every year. Given this large number, errors can occur in the registration records of some students, leading to various complications. Consequently, students are advised to verify their information with their schools well before the examinations.

Key points to check:
Name and Date of Birth
Parents' Names: Students should verify the spelling of their parents' names as recorded in school documents. If the information does not match their official documents, they should inform the school and inquire about the correction process.

Registered Subjects and Subject Codes: Students in Classes 10 and 12 must ensure that all their subjects have been recorded correctly. Class 10 students, in particular, should verify whether they have opted for 'Mathematics-Basic' or 'Mathematics-Standard'.

Registration Details: Students should request their school to verify the information provided at the time of registration. Checking these details in advance allows for the identification and rectification of errors before the examination process progresses further.
Information on the Admit Card: As soon as the CBSE issues the admit cards, students should carefully check their name, date of birth, subjects, and other examination-related details. If any error is found, they should immediately contact their school to have it corrected.

Contact the School in Case of Errors
If students discover any error, they should inform their school as soon as possible; once the 'List of Candidates' (LOC) has been submitted, making changes to subjects may become restricted or even impossible.

Board date sheet likely to be released this week
Based on various reports and patterns from previous years, it is expected that the CBSE will release the timetable for the board examinations this week. The board examinations are set to begin in February 2027.
