CBSE has asked all its schools to encourage students to apply for the 'Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship' for the 2025-26 session. This scholarship is for those promising and needy students who need financial help to meet the expenses of their further studies.

You can apply for this scholarship by visiting the National Scholarship Portal scholarships.gov.in. If you are already getting this scholarship, then you can also apply for your renewal (ie 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th renewal) from here. The last date for both new application and renewal is 31 October 2025.

CBSE Scholarship Apply: Who can apply?

If you have passed 12th with good marks and are studying in a recognized college or university, then you can apply for this scholarship. Apart from this, if you are already taking this scholarship, then you can apply for renewal according to your year.

First renewal: Students of 2024

Second renewal: Students of 2023

Third renewal: Students of 2022

Fourth renewal: Students of 2021

CBSE Scholarship: How much money will you get?

Under this scholarship, you will get Rs 12,000 every year for the first three years during graduation. If you are doing post-graduation, then you will be given Rs 20,000 every year.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship: Document verification is necessary
CBSE has clearly said that after applying online, you will have to get verification done from your institute by showing your original documents. If verification is not done, then your application will not be considered valid. Therefore, contact the nodal officer of your college or university and get the verification done on time.

First of all, go to the official website scholarships.gov.in.

Select the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students scheme there.

Register yourself and fill out the application form.

Upload the required documents and submit your application.
