The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released important information regarding the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) recruitment 2025. The board has made public the dates, shifts, and exam city information for the Tier-1 examination. This news brings relief to millions of candidates who have been waiting for the exam schedule for a long time.

Tier-1 Exam to be held in January 2026

According to the information released by the CBSE, the Tier-1 examination for KVS and NVS recruitment 2025 will be held in January 2026. The exam will be conducted on January 10 and 11, 2026. The examination will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode. The exam for different posts will be held in different shifts to ensure that all candidates get a fair opportunity to take the exam.

The exam is to be conducted in two shifts

Candidates can download their city intimation slip and admit card from the official website. All necessary instructions will be available on the admit card. The Tier-1 examination will be held in two shifts each day. The first shift will run from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while the second shift will be held from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Information about which post's exam will be held in which shift is provided to the candidates in their city intimation slip.

Exam City Intimation Slip Released

The CBSE has also released the exam city intimation slip for the candidates before the examination. This slip provides candidates with information about the city, date, and shift of their examination. This allows candidates to plan their travel and accommodation in advance, avoiding last-minute hassles.

When will the admit cards be released?

The board has also clarified that the admit cards for the KVS and NVS recruitment exams will be released approximately two days before the exam. The admit card will contain the complete address of the examination center, reporting time, shift time, and important instructions related to the exam. Entry to the examination center will not be permitted without the admit card.

How to download the city slip and admit card:

• Candidates should first visit the official website.
• Then, click on the KVS/NVS recruitment section on the homepage.
• Now, open the login link.
• Then, candidates should enter their registration number and password.
• The city slip or admit card will now appear on the screen.
• Now, download it.
• Finally, take a printout of it.
