The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the new curriculum for Classes 9 to 12 for the academic session 2026-27. The Board unveiled the curriculum for Classes 11-12 on April 1, 2026, and for Classes 9-10 (Phase-1) through a webinar held on April 2.
According to CBSE, this new curriculum has been designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and the NCF-SE 2023. It places special emphasis on reducing content load, fostering a better understanding of concepts, and promoting critical thinking and application-based learning.
Several senior officials, including CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh, Secretary Himanshu Gupta, and NCERT Director Prof. D.P. Saklani, were present on this occasion. The webinar was attended by over 85,000 principals, teachers, and educationists from across the country.

**CBSE Directs Schools**

The Board reiterated that its objective is to provide quality, inclusive, and future-ready education.
