CBSE Re-Evaluation: What should a student do if they do not possess an Aadhaar card? How, then, can they apply for re-evaluation?
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) opened the application portal for re-evaluation on June 2, and thousands of students have applied since then. Along with opening the portal, the Board shared two important pieces of information: one regarding the requirement for Aadhaar card details, and the other explaining the step-by-step process via a video tutorial. In this tutorial, the Board demonstrated how students could verify their marks even if they did not possess an Aadhaar card.
According to the CBSE tutorial video, only students who have obtained photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets are eligible to apply for verification or re-evaluation. Students who feel they received lower marks than expected or believe there was an error in the evaluation process are eligible to apply for re-evaluation.
What should a student do if they do not have an Aadhaar card?
Aadhaar card details are required to log in to the CBSE verification and re-evaluation portal. However, CBSE has provided some relief to students who do not have their own Aadhaar cards; such students can use the Aadhaar details of their parents, relatives, or guardians. The Board has specified that the name, date of birth, and gender entered during the verification process must match the details of the person whose Aadhaar card is being used.
How to apply for marks verification?
First, visit the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) or the post-result portal (postresult.cbseit.in/pvr).
Then, log in using your User ID or Roll Number, your mother's or father's name, Admit Card ID or password, and Aadhaar card details.
Next, click on the 'Verification of Marks' or 'Re-evaluation' link.
A new page will open, displaying a list of subjects.
Select the subject for which you wish to have your marks verified and choose the reason for the verification. In the drop-down menu, you will find options such as missing pages, blurred scanned pages, errors in totaling or addition of marks, and mismatches regarding the answer sheet.
After that, click on ‘Save and Continue to Preview’.
If you wish to request verification of marks for another subject, click on ‘Make Another Verification Request’.
Now, pay the application fee online and save the confirmation page for future reference.
What are the fees for verification and re-evaluation?
For the verification of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets, the fee is ₹100 per answer sheet, while the application fee for re-evaluation is ₹25 per question. The re-evaluation fee can be paid via the online payment gateways of SBI, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, or Indian Bank. Students can also use UPI, net banking, and credit/debit cards.
