CBSE Re-evaluation LIVE: There is good news for the lakhs of students who were anxious about their marks following the release of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026 results. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally opened the portal for 'Verification of Marks' and 'Re-evaluation.' Students can now apply online to verify their marks and request a review of their answer sheets. The Board has clarified that the application process will remain open until June 6, 2026. Consequently, students who suspect that there may be an error in the evaluation of their answer sheets can submit their applications within the stipulated timeframe.

**Official Information Shared via Social Media**
Through a post on its official 'X' (formerly Twitter) account, CBSE announced that the verification and re-evaluation portal is now live. The Board has also urged students to watch a video explaining the entire procedure before applying, in order to avoid any technical or procedural errors. According to the Board, students can easily apply for marks verification and re-evaluation by logging into the portal.

**Process Initiated Amidst the OSM Controversy**
This year, for the first time, CBSE implemented the 'On-Screen Marking' (OSM) system on a large scale. Under this system, answer sheets were evaluated digitally; however, following the announcement of the results, many students and parents took to social media to raise questions regarding the evaluation process. Some students complained of receiving lower marks than expected, while others alleged issues such as blurred images in the scanned copies, missing answers, and discrepancies in the evaluation. This is the reason why a record number of students applied to view scanned copies of their answer sheets this time around.

**Over 4 Lakh Students Requested Scanned Copies**
Amidst the concerns surrounding the OSM system, a large number of students demanded access to scanned copies of their answer sheets. The Board received over 400,000 applications. Students stated that they wished to personally review their answer sheets to ascertain whether any errors had occurred during the evaluation process.

CBSE Appeals to Students
Amidst the ongoing OSM controversy, millions of students are keeping a close watch on this process, which has now commenced. Following the declaration of results, several questions were raised regarding the evaluation process. CBSE has appealed to students to watch the official video and fully understand the entire procedure before submitting their applications.

What Do the Students Say?
Student Palak Agarwal states that she has attempted to log in to the portal multiple times since this morning; however, each time she enters the CAPTCHA, the process fails to proceed further, and a "Failed" message appears on the screen.

What Difficulties Are Being Faced?
CBSE Re-evaluation LIVE: Students report that when attempting to log in by entering their roll numbers, the CAPTCHA sometimes fails to appear altogether, while at other times—after the CAPTCHA has been entered—a "Failed" message is displayed on the screen. Many students have been continuously trying to access the portal since the morning but have been unable to log in successfully.

CBSE Portal Opens, But Students' Difficulties Persist
CBSE Re-evaluation LIVE: After extending the deadline three times, CBSE finally opened the portal for re-evaluation this morning, Tuesday. However, shortly after the portal went live, students and parents once again began lodging complaints regarding technical glitches.

Until When Can Applications Be Submitted?
CBSE Re-evaluation LIVE: CBSE has officially made the marks verification and re-evaluation portal live for Class 12 students. Students can now submit their applications online. The Board has clarified that the final deadline for applying for re-evaluation and marks verification is June 6, 2026.

Why Has Aadhaar Been Made Mandatory?
CBSE Re-evaluation LIVE: CBSE has stated that the Aadhaar verification feature has been incorporated for security reasons. For students who do not possess an Aadhaar card, the Aadhaar details of their father, mother, or guardian may be used as an alternative. In such instances, the Aadhaar number, date of birth, gender, and age entered must correspond to the individual whose Aadhaar details are being utilized.
