CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: CBSE has now launched a portal for the verification of marks and for re-evaluation. Students who have already obtained scanned copies of their answer sheets are eligible to apply.

CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: Following the release of the CBSE 2026 results, there is significant news for students who are currently confused or concerned regarding their scores. CBSE has now activated an online portal for the verification of marks and for the re-evaluation of answer sheets. Students who have successfully obtained scanned copies of their answer books may now apply for a re-verification of their marks and for re-evaluation. The Board has made this facility available for a limited period, and the deadline for submitting applications has been set for June 6.

Aadhaar Verification Mandatory for Application

This year, CBSE has incorporated Aadhaar verification into the verification and re-evaluation process to ensure security and authenticity. According to the information released by the Board, students are required to provide their Aadhaar-related details while submitting their applications. However, students who do not possess an Aadhaar card may utilize the Aadhaar number of their parents or a close relative. In such instances, the name, date of birth, and gender entered in the application form must strictly correspond to the Aadhaar details of the individual whose Aadhaar number is being used. Furthermore, CBSE has advised students to carefully read the essential guidelines issued by the Board before proceeding to apply.

Student Concerns Heightened Following Result Declaration

Following the declaration of the CBSE results this year, a large number of students raised questions regarding the marks they had obtained. Many students claimed that they received scores lower than their expectations, while some also raised objections regarding the evaluation process itself. Consequently, there was considerable anticipation for the commencement of the re-evaluation and verification process—a process which the Board has now officially initiated.

Evaluation in the Spotlight Due to the OMS System

The evaluation process garnered significant attention this time around, primarily because the Board implemented an On-Screen Marking (OMS) system on a large scale. Under this digital framework, examiners evaluate scanned copies of answer sheets. Following the announcement of the results, numerous students took to social media to register complaints regarding the evaluation process. Some students also raised concerns regarding technical glitches within the scanned copies and questioned the manner in which their answers had been evaluated. Consequently, there was a noticeable surge in student interest regarding post-result services this year. Furthermore, the Board has introduced significant changes to the fee structure for this year. Previously, students were required to pay up to ₹700 to obtain scanned copies of their answer sheets; now, however, the fee for this service has been reduced to just ₹100 per subject. Similarly, the fee for the verification of marks has also been lowered to ₹100 per subject. Additionally, students have been granted relief regarding the re-evaluation process. Students are now required to pay a fee of only ₹25 per question for re-evaluation, a substantial reduction from the previous rate of ₹100 per question.

Points to Verify Before Applying

According to the Board, students should carefully review their scanned answer sheets before applying for re-evaluation. They must ensure that all answers have been evaluated, that no page has been inadvertently left unassessed, that there are no errors in the totaling of marks, and that no specific answer has been incorrectly overlooked.
