CBSE Parenting Workshop: CBSE will organize workshop for parents, know what skills will be taught to parents..

Parenting Education: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced to organize offline parents' workshops in five cities in September 2025. Its purpose is to guide parents in developing skills like digital well-being, positive parenting, and resilience in children. The programs will be held from September 4 to September 18, and the sessions will run from 10 am to 2 pm.
CBSE says that instead of thinking-based lectures, hands-on strategies will be given to it, so that parents can directly implement them in the home environment. This initiative has been linked to the Parenting Calendar 2025-26.
If you want to participate in the workshop, you will have to travel at your own expense.
The workshops have been organized in only five cities, and the participants will have to bear the cost of travel and accommodation themselves. This has emerged as the biggest challenge. Especially for families in small cities and towns, this means that either the whole day will be spent traveling or an additional financial burden will have to be borne. In such a situation, many people believe that if online options were given, participation could have increased much more.
What are the benefits of the workshop?
On the other hand, this initiative can prove useful for those families who can reach it. Parents will get a chance to learn small changes in everyday parenting, which can be adopted immediately at home. This can help improve children's digital habits, mutual communication, and ability to deal with stress.
Some schools also took such initiatives on their own
Many private schools are already organizing similar local parenting sessions. They adopt age-based group discussions, support circles, and interactive formats. Education experts believe that similar experiments are more effective in the long term because, in this case, parents do not just listen but learn and implement.
Experts say that CBSE's offline workshops are a positive step, but at present, their scope is very limited. This opportunity will prove beneficial for those who can reach big cities. But it will have a wider impact only when its reach is ensured to online platforms, regional hubs and smaller towns.
