CBSE Parenting Calendar: CBSE launches Parenting Calendar 2026-27, promoting holistic development of children..
CBSE Parenting Calendar 2026-27: With the aim of strengthening the role of parents in the holistic development of students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has undertaken a significant initiative. CBSE has launched a ‘Parenting Calendar’ for the academic session 2026-27. This initiative was announced on Wednesday.
**Success in the First Year; Model Now Further Strengthened**
This initiative was first introduced during the academic session 2025-26, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Its objective was to foster better coordination between parents and schools and to promote the holistic development of students. In its very first year, the initiative received a highly positive response and witnessed active participation from parents, teachers, and school management across the country.
**Special Features Added for the New Session**
This year, CBSE has made the Parenting Calendar even more structured and practical. It now incorporates enhanced engagement strategies, teacher-led activities, and psychosocial initiatives designed to support the emotional, social, and academic development of students. This initiative also takes into account the challenges that parents face in today's rapidly changing environment.
**New Sections Such as ‘Inclusion’ and ‘Coping with Changes’**
Several new sections have been included in the calendar this time around. The ‘Inclusion’ section focuses on ensuring sensitivity and equal opportunities for students hailing from diverse backgrounds. Meanwhile, the ‘Coping with Changes’ section will assist parents and students in adapting to new curricula and evolving academic expectations. Furthermore, the ‘Parenting Workshops’ section has been further strengthened to enable schools to curate age-appropriate and beneficial programs.
**Enhanced Dialogue Between Parents and Schools**
This Parenting Calendar will serve to improve communication between parents and children, while simultaneously strengthening the bond between home and school. Additionally, it will act as a practical guide for parents, empowering them to play an active role in their children's development.
