CBSE Opens CTET 2026 Correction Window; Application Edits Allowed Until September 10

The online correction window for modifying CTET September 2026 application forms has been opened. This facility will be available from September 7 to September 10, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the online correction window for CTET September 2026 applications. Candidates who have applied for the exam can make necessary changes to their applications within the stipulated timeframe. The facility to edit forms will remain active from September 7 until September 10, 2026. Candidates should note that requests for any changes to the application after September 10 will not be entertained.

Who is eligible to make corrections?

The CTET correction window is available to candidates who successfully submitted their forms during the recently opened application portal period (August 25 to September 1, 2026). Additionally, candidates who had previously applied for CTET between May 11 and June 10, 2026, may also modify their application details during this designated correction period. CBSE has clarified that the correction facility will remain open only for the specified duration; therefore, candidates can submit requests for corrections only until September 10.

Portal Reopened Following Supreme Court Ruling

CBSE had reopened the application process for CTET 2026 in August. The Board stated that this step was taken in compliance with Supreme Court directives, which aimed to provide eligible candidates with the opportunity to acquire the requisite Teacher Eligibility Test qualification. Initially, the application process for CTET 2026 ran from May 11 to June 10. Subsequently, the Board reopened the application portal on August 25, allowing candidates to apply until September 1. Now that the application process has concluded, a correction window has been opened.

New CTET Exam Date Not Yet Announced

The 22nd CTET examination was originally scheduled for September 6, 2026. However, the exam date was altered after the application process was restarted. CBSE has not yet announced the new exam date for CTET 2026. The Board has indicated that information regarding the revised exam date will be released after the application portal closes.

Exam to be Conducted in Offline Mode

In accordance with the exam pattern prescribed by CBSE, the CTET will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be of the Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four options provided for each question. The CTET consists of two papers: Paper I is for candidates wishing to teach children in classes 1 to 5, while Paper II is for those aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8. Both papers will contain a total of 150 questions, with each question carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking; candidates must secure a minimum of 90 marks to qualify for the CTET.

Next, click on the “CTET SEP 2026 Correction Window” link under the “Candidate Activity” section on the website’s homepage.
Log in by entering the required details.
Make the necessary amendments to the fields that need correction.
After making the corrections, submit the form and download the confirmation page.
