CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning to all affiliated schools, stating that any sports competition, event, or activity organized by the CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO), Agra, should be considered completely illegal. This directive was issued after the society's registration was canceled by the Registrar of Firms, Societies, and Chits, Agra, on December 5, 2025.

The CBSE has clearly stated that it has no connection with, endorsement of, or authorization for this organization. The organization was using the CBSE name without permission to send invitations to schools, which could confuse students and parents. The order, signed by the Board's Secretary, Himanshu Gupta, states that all letters, communications, and programs sent by the society should be considered invalid.

Following the Registrar's order, CBSE-WSO no longer has any legal recognition in any area. The CBSE has also instructed schools to completely disregard any claims or certificates issued by the organization.

Instructions for Schools
The Board has strictly instructed affiliated schools not to participate in any competition organized by CBSE-WSO, nor to send students to such events. The CBSE states that this step is necessary to protect students and parents from misleading information.

Schools have been advised to verify any claims of sports events under the CBSE name only through official channels. In case of any doubt, they should contact the CBSE headquarters or regional office directly.

The Board stated that maintaining the integrity of the CBSE name, identity, and programs is its priority, and any kind of unauthorized activity will not be tolerated.
