Why was the decision taken?

According to the information, this decision has been taken in such cases where students join the class in the middle of the session due to the transfer of their parents and who fall in the Essential Repeat (ER) category. This decision has been taken after the representation made by the schools regarding the admission of such students.

CBSE said in the notice that where students are likely to join a class in a session due to the transfer of parents from one place to another and also students who fall in the Essential Repeat (ER) category, schools can have more students in a section than the prescribed limit of 40, up to 45.

How will this exemption be available?

However, the board clarified that this exemption will be available on a case-to-case basis, for which schools will have to apply to the concerned regional office with supporting documents.
