CBSE Notice on Refunds: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a major update for students who appeared for the Class 12 examinations. CBSE has issued a notice addressing the technical difficulties encountered by students while applying for scanned copies of their Class 12 answer sheets.

CBSE Confirms: Fees Will Be Refunded

CBSE has issued a formal notice in this regard. According to the issued notice, irregularities occurred during the fee deduction process due to certain technical issues while students were applying for scanned answer copies on May 21 and 22, 2020. In some instances, an amount exceeding the prescribed fee was deducted from students' accounts. CBSE has stated that students from whose accounts an excess fee was deducted will receive a refund via the same payment mode used for the transaction. Conversely, students who were charged less than the prescribed fee will also be notified separately.

Furthermore, CBSE has advised the affected students and their parents to carefully read the issued notice.

What is the Full Story?

During the application process on May 21 and 22, 2020, technical glitches led to irregularities in fee deductions for numerous students. While some students had an amount exceeding the fixed fee deducted from their accounts, others were charged an amount lower than the prescribed fee.

What are Scanned Answer Copies, and Why Are They Important?

Many students are dissatisfied with the recently declared Class 12 examination results. They wish to ascertain how their answer sheets were evaluated. In such a scenario, upon receiving the scanned copy, students can review their answer sheets; if they identify any errors, they may apply for verification or re-evaluation.
